HPC R1-HPC — Replacement Pick Gun Needle
The working tip for an HPC pick gun. The needle is the part that does the job — it drops into the gun, snaps up against the bottom pins, and bounces them to the shear line so the plug can turn. It's also the part that takes all the stress, so over enough lockouts it bends, dulls, or finally snaps. This is the factory replacement so a broken needle doesn't put your pick gun out of service.
If you do any volume of lockout or pin-tumbler work with a snap gun, you treat needles as a wear item — same as you'd keep spare tension wrenches. Keep two or three on the van. Swapping one takes seconds: back out the old needle, seat the new one, and you're back in the lock.
