HPC VDG-10 — Large Guard Plate (Opening Out)
A latch guard plate for out-swing doors. On a door that opens toward you, the latch and the gap between door and frame are exposed — which means they're also exposed to anyone with a pry bar or a shim. A guard plate closes that gap. It bolts over the seam so you can't get a tool onto the latch or jimmy the door at the strike. Simple piece of steel, big difference in how hard the door is to beat.
This is the large size, built for the wider gap you get on commercial out-swing doors. Mount it on the door so it overlaps the frame and covers the latch area. Common upgrade on back doors, stockroom doors, and any out-swing entry where the original install left the latch out in the open.
For outward-opening (out-swing) doors only — an in-swing door needs a different guard. Hardware is included.
