The Schlage L9050P-03A-605 is the L Series Entrance / Office Lock (ANSI F04, Grade 1) in Bright Brass (US3), built on the mortise case that has been the benchmark for commercial door hardware for decades. Key cylinder outside; thumbturn inside; latchbolt and deadlocking auxiliary latch. Office and inner-entry doors where staff control access from inside with a thumbturn but can also key in from the hall. The lock-out-prevention closing action makes it a safe choice for private offices and suites.
How This Function Operates
Outside: Latchbolt retracted by lever from either side. Outside lever is made inoperative by key outside or by turning the inside thumbturn.
Inside: Rotating the inside thumbturn unlocks the outside lever; turning the inside lever retracts the latchbolt and unlocks the outside lever; closing the door also unlocks, preventing lock-out. Inside lever always free for egress.
