Product Description
L9076P-05A-625 Schlage L Series Classroom Holdback Lock, Exterior Lockdown — Grade 1 Commercial Mortise Lock, Bright Chrome (US26)
The Schlage L9076P-05A-625 is the L Series Classroom Holdback Lock, Exterior Lockdown (ANSI F06, Grade 1) in Bright Chrome (US26), built on the mortise case that has been the benchmark for commercial door hardware for decades. Key cylinder outside with lever; lever only inside; latchbolt with deadlocking auxiliary latch and a key-activated retracted-latch holdback feature. Classroom and corridor doors where staff need to hold the latch retracted for free passage during class change, then re-secure with exterior lockdown. Note: locks with the holdback feature are not UL listed and must be installed in accordance with existing codes only.
How This Function Operates
Outside: Latchbolt retracted by lever from either side. Outside lever is made inoperative by key outside and remains inoperative until unlocked by key.
Inside: Inside lever always free for immediate egress. To engage the holdback, rotate the inside lever while turning the key 360 degrees, which holds the latch retracted; reverse the key rotation 360 degrees to deactivate.
Key: Key outside unlocks the outside lever and retracts the latchbolt. Holdback is set and released by the 360-degree key turn.
