Product Description
L9082P-18A-625 Schlage L Series Institution Lock — Grade 1 Commercial Mortise Lock, Bright Chrome (US26)
The Schlage L9082P-18A-625 is the L Series Institution Lock (ANSI F30, Grade 1) in Bright Chrome (US26), built on the mortise case that has been the benchmark for commercial door hardware for decades. Key cylinder both sides; latchbolt with deadlocking auxiliary latch. Both levers are normally fixed and released only by key. Institutional openings where both sides must stay secured at all times and access is strictly key-controlled from either face, such as detention support spaces and secure storage. Caution: locks that require a key for egress on a path of egress are a life-safety consideration — install in accordance with existing codes only.
How This Function Operates
Outside: Both levers are made inoperative by key from either side; while locked the levers do not retract the latchbolt.
Inside: Both levers are fixed when locked — there is no free inside egress in the locked state; key use is required to retract the latchbolt from either side.
Key: Key use on either side unlocks both levers and retracts the latchbolt.
