Schlage L9456LB L Series Corridor with Deadbolt Mortise Lock Body, Case Only
This is the lock case by itself: the Schlage L9456 corridor with deadbolt mortise body that sits inside the door. It does not include levers, roses or escutcheons, a cylinder, or a strike. Buy it when the trim on the door is good and the case has worn out, broken, or needs to change function.
How the Corridor with Deadbolt function works: The latchbolt is retracted by the lever on either side. The deadbolt is thrown by key from the outside or thumbturn from the inside, and throwing it locks the outside lever. Turning the inside lever retracts the deadbolt and latch together, so exit is one motion.
Where it goes: Corridor and hotel-style doors that need a deadbolt and a lever in one mortise case.
Before you order, pull the old case and read the function number stamped on it. L Series cases share one case size, so a door prepped for an L Series lock takes this one. The function is what has to match what the door is supposed to do.

Pro-Installer FAQ
Q: Will my existing Schlage L Series levers fit this case?
A: L Series trim is built for L Series cases, so in most retrofits the trim comes off the old case and goes back on the new one. If you are changing function, check that your trim suits the new function. A keyed function needs a cylinder hole in the trim.
Q: Does this come with a cylinder?
A: No. Keyed functions take a Schlage mortise cylinder, ordered separately.
Q: Not sure which function you have?
