Product Description
L9456P-18B-629 Schlage L Series Corridor Lock with Deadbolt — Grade 1 Commercial Mortise Lock, Bright Stainless Steel (US32)
The Schlage L9456P-18B-629 is the L Series Corridor Lock with Deadbolt (ANSI F13, Grade 1) in Bright Stainless Steel (US32), built on the mortise case that has been the benchmark for commercial door hardware for decades. Key cylinder outside; thumbturn inside; deadbolt and latchbolt. Corridor and intercommunicating doors that need a deadbolt for after-hours security while keeping life-safety single-motion egress. The inside lever frees both bolts in one motion so occupants are never trapped behind a thrown deadbolt.
How This Function Operates
Outside: Latchbolt retracted by lever from either side. Outside lever is made inoperative when the deadbolt is thrown by key outside or by the inside thumbturn.
Inside: Rotating the inside lever retracts both the deadbolt and latchbolt and unlocks the outside lever. Inside lever always free for immediate egress (single-motion egress even with deadbolt thrown).
Key: Key outside retracts the deadbolt and unlocks the outside lever. Optional XL13-439 key override lets the key retract the deadbolt even if the thumbturn is being held in the locked position.
