The Sargent LC-8224-LW1J-26D is a commercial function mortise lock from the 8200 Series — Sargent's flagship commercial mortise platform that's been trusted on schools, hospitals, office buildings, and government facilities for decades.

Ships Less Cylinder — This lock does not include a mortise cylinder. You need to order a Sargent mortise cylinder separately to match your building's existing keyway (HA, LA, RA, RB, RC, etc.). The product image shows the lock with a cylinder installed for reference — yours will arrive without one. If you're not sure which keyway you need, pull an existing cylinder from the building and look at the key — or call us at (877) 365-5625 and we'll help you figure it out.
This one comes with LW1 Escutcheon, J Lever in Satin Chrome — the 26D finish you see on 90% of commercial jobs because it hides fingerprints, resists wear, and matches every other piece of hardware in the building. When in doubt, 26D is the safe bet.
