Product Description
ND12DEL-RHO-605 Schlage ND Series Cylindrical Lever Lock — Exit Lock, Electrically Locked (Fail Safe), Rhodes Lever, Bright Brass
Some doors have to open from outside the moment the power drops. The ND12 in EL mode does that. With power on, the outside lever stays locked. Take the power away, by a switch or an outage, and either lever pulls the latch. The inside lever is always free. There is no key on this function.
This one is the Rhodes lever on the Rhodes rose, in Bright Brass. The latch is a deadlatch. Pick your backset in the dropdown: 2-3/4" is standard, 2-3/8" is the other choice. Measure from the door edge to the center of the bore before you order.

Pro-Installer FAQ
Q: What happens when the power goes out?
A: The door unlocks. In EL mode, with no power, either lever retracts the latch. If the door has to stay locked with no power, you want the EU version, which is fail secure.
Q: What voltage does it run on?
A: 12 or 24 volts DC. It detects which by itself. A switch on the chassis sets EL or EU in the field.
Q: Is this a Grade 1 lock?
A: Yes. The ND Series is ANSI/BHMA Certified A156.2 Grade 1, Series 4000. If the job does not call for Grade 1, Schlage's ALX Series is the Grade 2 cylindrical line.
