Product Description
ND60JD-SPA-606 Schlage ND Series Cylindrical Lever Lock — Vestibule Lock, Sparta Lever, Satin Brass
On a vestibule door, the person who decides whether the hall side is open is on the inside. The ND60 has a cylinder in both levers. The key inside locks and unlocks the outside lever. The key outside pulls the latch but cannot unlock the outside lever, and it does not lock it either. The inside lever is always free.
This one is the Sparta lever on the Rhodes rose, with both levers prepped for a full size interchangeable core and no core in the box, in Satin Brass. The latch is a deadlatch. Pick your backset in the dropdown: 2-3/4" is standard, 2-3/8" is the other choice. Measure from the door edge to the center of the bore before you order.

Pro-Installer FAQ
Q: Can I unlock it for the day from the hall?
A: No. Only the key inside unlocks the outside lever. The key outside pulls the latch for that one trip.
Q: Is the inside always free?
A: Yes, on this function the inside lever is always free for egress. Schlage's caution on double cylinder locks: on a door used for egress they are a life safety hazard in an emergency and their use is not recommended. Install only where the code allows.
Q: Which core goes in this?
A: A full size interchangeable core, bought separately. This one is less core, so both levers arrive ready for it with nothing in it.
Q: Is this a Grade 1 lock?
A: Yes. The ND Series is ANSI/BHMA Certified A156.2 Grade 1, Series 4000. If the job does not call for Grade 1, Schlage's ALX Series is the Grade 2 cylindrical line.
