Product Description
ND73PD-RHO-619 Schlage ND Series Cylindrical Lever Lock — Corridor Lock, Rhodes Lever, Satin Nickel
A corridor door has to lock two ways, and the two ways undo differently. On the ND73, the push button in the inside lever or the key outside will lock the outside lever. Lock it with the button and a turn of the inside lever or closing the door lets it go. Lock it with the key and it stays locked; the inside lever only pulls the latch until a key unlocks it. The inside lever is always free.
This one is the Rhodes lever on the Rhodes rose, with a conventional 6-pin cylinder keyed 5, in the Schlage C keyway, keyed different, in Satin Nickel. The latch is a deadlatch. Want the outside lever to spin free when locked? Schlage sells that as Vandlgard, function ND97. Pick your backset in the dropdown: 2-3/4" is standard, 2-3/8" is the other choice. Measure from the door edge to the center of the bore before you order.

Pro-Installer FAQ
Q: Why did it stay locked when I turned the inside lever?
A: It was locked by key. Locked by key, the outside lever stays fixed until a key outside unlocks it. Only the button lock releases from the inside.
Q: Will this key into my building's system?
A: Only if your building runs the Schlage C keyway. It ships keyed different, not master keyed. Schlage's default on most ND orders is Everest 29 S123, and that is a different key, so check which one you have before you order.
Q: Is this a Grade 1 lock?
A: Yes. The ND Series is ANSI/BHMA Certified A156.2 Grade 1, Series 4000. If the job does not call for Grade 1, Schlage's ALX Series is the Grade 2 cylindrical line.
