Product Description
ND80PDEU-TLR-625 Schlage ND Series Cylindrical Lever Lock — Storeroom Lock, Electrically Unlocked (Fail Secure), Tubular Lever, Bright Chrome
A storeroom on a controlled opening, where the door has to stay locked when the power drops. With power on, the ND80 in EU mode leaves the outside lever unlocked. Take the power away, by a switch or an outage, and the outside lever locks. The key outside pulls the latch but does not change whether the lever is locked. The inside lever is always free, so nobody gets trapped.
This one is the Tubular lever on the Rhodes rose, with a conventional 6-pin cylinder keyed 5, in the Schlage C keyway, keyed different, in Bright Chrome. The latch is a deadlatch. Pick your backset in the dropdown: 2-3/4" is standard, 2-3/8" is the other choice. Measure from the door edge to the center of the bore before you order.

Pro-Installer FAQ
Q: What happens when the power goes out?
A: The outside lever locks. The key still pulls the latch and the inside lever still lets people out. If the door has to open from outside with no power, you want the EL version, which is fail safe.
Q: What voltage does it run on?
A: 12 or 24 volts DC. It detects which by itself. A switch on the chassis sets EL or EU in the field.
Q: Will this key into my building's system?
A: Only if your building runs the Schlage C keyway. It ships keyed different, not master keyed. Schlage's default on most ND orders is Everest 29 S123, and that is a different key, so check which one you have before you order.
Q: Is this a Grade 1 lock?
A: Yes. The ND Series is ANSI/BHMA Certified A156.2 Grade 1, Series 4000. If the job does not call for Grade 1, Schlage's ALX Series is the Grade 2 cylindrical line.
