The QEL9827L-315-3-LHR is a Von Duprin 9827 Series Surface Vertical Rod exit device in Black (315/315), sized for 3' doors. Classroom Function — outside lever is locked until unlocked by key, relocks automatically when door closes. Ships less cylinder — order a rim cylinder separately to match your existing keyway.
Quiet Electric Latch Retraction — QEL motor-driven latch retraction provides quiet, ADA-compliant remote unlocking. 24VDC power required.
ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1 certified. Hex key dogging standard. Factory set LHR, field reversible.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: Surface vertical rod devices (9827) have rods visible on the door surface running to top and bottom bolts. When measuring for replacement, check rod length — 3' and 4' doors need different rod kits. Also verify header and threshold strike condition before quoting.
