78NL-F-US3-4 Von Duprin Fire Rated 78 Series Night Latch Rim Exit Device in Bright Brass
The Von Duprin 78NL-F-US3-4 is a crossbar rim exit device for storefront and aluminum doors. Night Latch — outside lever locks and unlocks by key, inside always free for egress. Ships less cylinder — order a mortise cylinder separately to match your existing keyway.
The 78 Series crossbar provides a wide activation zone across the full width of the door — maximum push area for emergency egress. Available in 4-foot width. Non-handed design works for both LHR and RHR door swings. UL listed for fire exit hardware — no mechanical dogging on fire-rated models. ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1 certified.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: Strike alignment is the number one callback on storefront rim devices. The 78 uses the same strike body as the 22 Series — make sure the frame strike pocket is deep enough. On older aluminum frames, you may need a surface-applied strike if the pocket is too shallow.
