The trash can under the door is a fire marshal's favorite target

Walk any warehouse, kitchen, or loading dock during a delivery and you'll find it: a chair, a wood wedge, a folded pizza box, or a trash can jammed under a heavy exterior door to keep it open while carts roll through. It works until someone kicks it loose, a gust of wind slams the door on a hand truck, or an inspector walks the building and writes it up.
