Product Description
GoSo GS-KE200 — Broken Key Extractor Set, 10 Pieces
A key snaps off in a cylinder and the customer is standing on the porch. This is the ten-piece assortment you reach for before you reach for the drill. Each tool is a thin steel blade sized to slide down the keyway alongside the broken fragment; you feel for the cuts, hook or bite into the soft brass, and back the piece straight out. The lock stays intact, the cylinder stays keyed, and you are not rebuilding a door for the price of a broken key.
How you use it
Pick the thinnest blade that will still pass the fragment — too thick and it will not enter, too thin and it folds instead of gripping. Feed it along the flat of the keyway, not the cuts. Hook-style blades catch the leading edge of the broken key and pull; spiral and barbed blades bite the metal itself and come out with it. Work with light tension on the plug if the fragment is bound. A shot of dry lube first saves a lot of swearing.
What is in the set
Ten extractor tools. GoSo ships the set as a mixed assortment of blade profiles so you have a range of thicknesses and hook shapes on hand rather than one tool that only fits one keyway. Our vendor's record does not itemise the individual blade profiles, and we will not guess at them — if you need a specific blade thickness for a particular keyway, contact us and we will confirm exactly what is in the pack before it ships.

If you want the American-made tool instead
We also stock the HPC EZ-6 Interchangeable Extractor Set — four HPC blades (one saw, two spiral .040", one spiral .050") that store inside a hollow stainless handle, made in the USA, with individual replacement blades available by the 10-pack. Fewer blades, better steel, higher price. The GoSo set is the one you keep in the second bag; the EZ-6 is the one you keep in your pocket.
