Exit Devices and Panic Bars for Commercial Doors

Rim, Vertical Rod, and Mortise Devices | Ordering Help by Phone

An exit device lets people leave a building by pushing a bar, with no key and no knob to turn. Lock Depot lists exit devices and the trim that goes with them by brand: Von Duprin, Falcon, Sargent, PHI, Corbin Russwin, Stanley, Detex, Adams Rite, Accentra, and Arm-A-Dor. Exit sensor bars are under Securitron and Dynalock. Tell us the door and the trim you need. Call 877-365-5625.

Pick the device type first

Von Duprin describes the common types by how the latch is built. Our product titles use the same words.

  • Rim. The latchbolt is located in the center case on the face of the door.
  • Surface vertical rod. Rods and latches mount on the surface of the door.
  • Concealed vertical rod. Rods and latches are concealed within the structure of the door.
  • Mortise. A single-point mortise lock exit device.

Our listings also show the function in the title: EO (exit only), NL (night latch trim), DT (dummy trim), and lever trim. Read the device type and the function before you read the finish.

Shop by brand

Each brand category lists its devices and trim. Start at Von Duprin exit devices or the Von Duprin brand page. Falcon, Sargent, and PHI each have their own exit device category, linked above. For a pair of doors, read Von Duprin 9927: surface vertical rod for a pair of doors.

Frequently asked at the counter:

What does EO mean on an exit device? Exit only. No outside trim.

Do I order trim separately? Often yes. Trim, dummy trim, and night latch trim are separate listings in the brand categories.
