Product Description
LD22TP-SP28-4 Von Duprin 22 Series with 230TP Thumbpiece Rim Mounted Exit Device in Sprayed Aluminum
The Von Duprin LD22TP-SP28-4 is a Grade 1 wide stile pushpad rim exit device for single doors, or pairs with a mullion, on aluminum, hollow metal and wood doors. It fits stiles as narrow as 3-13/16" and covers the 161 cutout on stock hollow metal doors. Thumbpiece Trim — outside thumbpiece depresses to retract the latch. Key locks and unlocks the thumbpiece on keyed functions. Ships less cylinder — order a rim cylinder separately to match your existing keyway.
The 22 Series pushpad provides a clean, modern activation surface that blends with aluminum storefront framing. Available in 4-foot width to match your door size. Unlike crossbar devices, the pushpad concentrates the push area in the center of the door for a streamlined look. UL listed for panic exit hardware. LD model: less dogging — the latch cannot be held retracted. ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1 certified.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: The 22 is Von Duprin's wide stile pushpad rim device for aluminum, hollow metal and wood doors, down to a 3-13/16" stile. Unlike the 55 Series crossbar, the pushpad gives a cleaner look on single doors. If you're between 3-foot and 4-foot — 3-foot fits doors up to 36", 4-foot fits 48". Measure the door, not the frame.
