    If you have a door that won't latch because of air pressure (HVAC stack pressure), don't just crank up the spring power. Use the Independent Latch Speed Valve on your Norton 7500. A slight increase in the final 10 degrees of closing can overcome the air resistance without making the door too heavy for ADA compliance. Over-tightening the main spring is the #1 cause of premature seal failure.

    What is the difference between Norton 7500 and 1601?

    The 7500 is a "Heavy-Duty" closer for high-traffic/institutional use with more adjustment valves. The 1601 is a "Standard-Duty" Grade 1 closer ideal for typical office or storefront applications.

    Can Norton closers be mounted on either side of the door?
