83IC/45HB50 ABUS Brass Padlock, SFIC Prep, 2" Shackle, Less Core
The ABUS 83IC/45HB50 is the 2 inch shackle version of the 83IC/45, the brass padlock locksmiths use to put a padlock on a building master key system. It takes a 6 or 7-pin small format interchangeable core (SFIC), sold less core.
1-3/4 inch brass body, 5/16 inch shackle with 2 inches of vertical clearance, for gates, chains and hasps a 1 inch shackle will not reach.

Q: Does it come with a core?
A: No. It is sold less core. You add a 6 or 7-pin small format interchangeable core (SFIC) from your own system, so the padlock runs on the same keys as your doors.
Q: Will a Schlage large format core fit?
A: No. This model takes small format (SFIC) cores. ABUS builds the 83WP-IC/53 LFIC-SCHLG for Schlage large format cores.
Q: Can I change the shackle later?
A: Yes. The 83/45 family takes replacement shackles such as the 8002 (2 in.) and 8009 (6 in.), changed with the ABUS 83414A tool.
